How It Works

From application to the outdoors in a few simple steps.

  1. Apply

    Fill out the application below. It takes about five minutes and everything is confidential.

  2. Get Approved

    Our team reviews every application through the staff portal. Once approved, you'll receive an email with your login details.

  3. Browse Events

    Check out upcoming hunting, fishing, and outdoor trips on your account page.

  4. Enter the Drawing

    Events use a fair lottery drawing to fill spots. One click enters your name in the pool for any event you're interested in.

  5. Get Notified

    After the drawing, you'll receive an email letting you know if you were selected. If not, you're automatically placed on the alternate list in case a spot opens up. Either way, you can enter the drawing for any future event.

Please read the following Memorandum of Agreement carefully. By submitting this application you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Expectations of Conduct

All participants agree to uphold the following:

  • Respect: Treat fellow participants, guides, wildlife, landowners, and the environment with dignity and care.
  • Safety First: All state and federal laws, safety instructions, and Foundation protocols must be followed without exception.
  • Ethical Conduct: No harassment of wildlife, littering, or reckless behavior allowed. Alcohol, drugs, or firearms misuse will result in immediate removal from the activity.
  • Confidentiality: Any personal stories or experiences shared during Foundation events are to be respected and kept confidential unless express permission is given.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Always follow the guide's instructions and Foundation policies.
  • Respect wildlife, private lands, and fellow participants.
  • Sign all waivers and provide accurate health and emergency contact information.
  • Immediately disclose any known medical or physical conditions that may affect participation.

Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

All participants acknowledge the inherent risks involved in outdoor activities and agree to release and hold harmless Finding Purpose Outdoors Foundation, its staff, volunteers, and partners from any liability, injury, or damages incurred during participation.

Medical and Emergency Authorization

In the event of an emergency, the Foundation and its guides are authorized to seek emergency medical treatment as necessary. Participants are responsible for any costs incurred.

Term and Termination

This agreement shall be valid for the duration of the specific event or trip. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time for safety or behavioral concerns.

Privacy Notice

Your personal information is used to process your application and communicate about FPO programs. We use third-party services (analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and content delivery) that may receive limited data as described in our Privacy Policy. Health-related information you provide (such as accommodations or medical needs) is treated as sensitive data and stored only as long as needed to support your participation.
